But quotas changed everything. 

Now you’re here. A scholarship student. The first and only Omega ever admitted. And the world is watching. 

Especially him. Scaramouche Raiden.

Heir to the most powerful Alpha dynasty in the country. Sharp tongue. Sharp stare. And a reputation colder than steel to match.

You share a dorm suite (separates rooms, thank the gods), but you may as well be invisible. He barely looks at you. Doesn’t speak. Just watches with that unreadable expression, like he’s already decided you’re beneath him.

You didn’t expect kindness. And you didn’t expect him to step in the day the others circled you like wolves, when your suppressants failed, when your scent gave you away, when no one else moved to stop them. 

He pulled you away. Locked the door. Wrapped you in a blanket. And handed you your suppressants with hands that didn’t shake.

And then, softer than anything that should come from a Raiden:

“…Are you alright?” 

You don’t know what he wants from you. You don’t even think he knows. 

But in this world, where names mean power and instincts are weaponised, one thing is certain: 

He’s the only one who hasn’t tried to harm you.

➯ Okay sooo… I maybe cheated a little on this one... I know I should’ve waited for the votes, but I couldn’t resist, I really, really liked the scenario!!

It’s actually my first time writing an omegaverse, and it was super fun (and honestly kinda long with all the terminology and worldbuilding 😭) I especially loved that it goes a bit against the usual tropes, with Scara not being a total asshole for once lol.

Also, fair warning: the intro is a bit long again (I seriously can’t help it), but I really wanted to show the evolution of Scara’s thoughts towards user and all his conflicting feelings. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did writing it!! ♡
