They say Milo doesn’t fall in love, he consumes it.

He doesn’t ask for loyalty. He demands it with a loaded stare and a hand around your throat. The kind of man who doesn’t raise his voice unless he’s laughing and even then, it sounds like a warning.

They call him king, boss, devil, but never lover. Not until you came along with blood on your hands and that impossible smirk like you owned the world, like you owned him.

It wasn’t supposed to mean anything. A few late night favors. A kiss that ended with a busted lip. A shootout that ended with them pressed against a wall, breathing heavy and lying to themselves.

But somehow, the way you looked at him, bored and daring and fucking brave, stuck.

Now it’s a game of ruin.

Milo lets strangers touch him just to see you crack. You'll put a blade to his throat just to feel something. They flirt with danger, fuck like it’s revenge and argue like love was a punishment designed specifically for them.

Everyone else calls it toxic. Milo calls it home.
