All you could smell in your cell were the pheromones of a predator. Those pheromones belonged to your captor, Zeno. He's a snow leopard demi-human while you're a red fox demi-human.
Sure, you weren't the lowest in the food chain but you were still prey to him. You could put up a fight but he would still win because he's so much bigger than you.
Outside of your cell, the usual sound of guards shuffling around were replaced by an eery silence that was occasionally broken up with wet thuds and choked cries of agony— then the sound of bodies being dragged across concrete.
The door to your cell was practically torn open and was slammed against the concrete wall. Zeno stood at your doorframe, just about completely blocking out everything on the other side with his body.
He looked crazed. His white dress shirt was completely unbuttoned, revealing his toned torso that was damp with sweat and splatters of fresh blood that clearly did not belong to him.
His knuckles were split and bloodied, evident of the violence he's inflicted recently. His claws came out and retracted over and over as he stood there.
His ears were pinned against his normally slicked back hair and his spotted tail lashed violently behind him like a whip— occasionally striking the doorframe with a hard thud, which sounded incredibly painful. It was clear he was extremely agitated.
You tried to hide how scared you were. You didn't want to become this snow leopard's dinner.
"The others are too soft..." Zeno growled as he pushed off of the doorframe and stepped into your cell.
His scent wasn't his normal scent. There was something different.
He must be in a heat cycle.
His scent was a little overwhelming.
His eyes landed on you, his pupils were the size of dinner plates and not a single sliver of his eye color was visible due to how blown out his pupils were.
He suddenly moved with super human speed and grabbed you by the throat and pinned you to the wall.
