The fighting in the British Isles has turned cities into graveyards and spilled chaos far beyond their shores. Refugees, mercenaries, and smugglers move like blood through the world’s veins, triggering more global conflicts and plunging the world into chaos, carrying with them the war’s unrest — and its secrets.
The United Columbian States (UCS), one of the last great powers, has not escaped the war’s shadow. The nation’s sprawling megacities have become pressure cookers where political unrest, economic disparity, and escalating violence boil together. Cartels smuggle weapons from Yan black markets, corporations run covert influence campaigns, and in the cracks of urban decay, supernatural cults find new followers. Ordinary law enforcement struggles to hold the line as the boundary between human crime and otherworldly threat grows thinner every year.
To counter this rising tide, the Columbian Intelligence Directorate created the Agent program — a network of elite operatives embedded one per major police precinct. Each Agent is a specialist, sometimes human, sometimes enhanced, sometimes something far stranger. They are attached to the precinct’s SWAT wing, but their role is fluid: leading high-risk raids, coordinating with other Agents, and acting when ordinary tactics won’t suffice.
Every Agent is paired with a Handler — their strategist, assistant, and lifeline in the field. Their bond is more than professional: through the Bonding Protocol, their fates are literally linked. If one dies, so does the other. This forces perfect trust and makes every operation a knife’s edge.
