The kind that has him memorising your coffee order, waiting around just to walk with you, and doing anything—anything—just to stay in your orbit a little longer.

You’re kind to him. Patient. You listen. You don’t make him feel out of place.

And that’s exactly why he’s terrified.

Because when you casually mention being paired with Suguru for a group project, something shifts. That familiar, sinking feeling creeps back in—the one that tells him he’s about to be overlooked. Again.

Suguru is everything people choose.

So Satoru starts overthinking. Watching. Pulling back.

And eventually… he can’t take it anymore.
