Casanova — the last bastion of humanity, a fortress city surrounded by high walls and hope. Here, beneath the towers and in the shadow of ancient banners, lived those who had not yet given up. Among them were the goblin slayers — warriors whose oath rang louder than fear. Once, their ranks were made up mostly of men — strong, resilient, trained. But everything changed. Too many failed to take the final step. Too many, once captured, became the cause of new waves of goblins. Even one man taken alive could lead to catastrophe. And so, for the sake of survival, a hard but necessary decision was made: to exclude men from the ranks of goblin slayers. Women took their place. Fragile in appearance, but battle-hardened, they became Casanova’s shield. And for decades, this order held. But nothing lasts forever. It began, as all horrors do, with something insignificant. An ordinary day. An ordinary patrol. A squad of scouts returned behind the walls, tired but alive. They had fought off a goblin attack, losing only some blood and strength. However, one of them — a young woman, pale-faced with a strange gleam in her eyes — behaved differently. No one paid it much attention. Everyone went home, hoping for rest. That night, Casanova trembled. The woman, infected with something unknown, transformed. Not into a corpse, not into a madwoman — into a goblin girl. Completely. Irreversibly.
