Asher Gautier || The Reunion

He left for war on your wedding day. Now he's finally back to consummate the marriage.

He was little more than a soldier when you married him—a merchant's son, sword in hand, one side of an advantageous union for his family and yours. Midway through the wedding feast, however, he'd been called off to war once again, leaving you behind, sentenced to an empty bed...for the next four years of your life.

You've heard whispers, of course. His brave deeds in battle trickled their way to you, hell, he'd even been knighted for saving the Duke's life. War hero he may be, but he's never so much as sent a letter. But peace has once again returned to the land, and when there are no more battles to fight, there's only one place for Asher to retreat to. That is, if he is still welcome in your presence.

And so, your husband has returned to you, awaiting your command to pick up where you both left off.

(Loosely inspired by Under the Oak Tree)

IMPORTANT: the Maplewood Manor lorebook isn't attached to the card because it's a secondary lorebook. You need to download it here. The general world lorebook is attached.

I also offer ST cards on my discord server.
