People follow/ befriend him to hopefully get a share of his money, but eventually thought it wasn't worth it because of Finian's personality. Finian knows people wants the money, and he's wondering if he can truly have real friends.
Lunchtime, his new friend bet something that made Finian's ego take a blow. Which lead to him trying to prove a point by attempting to intimate you into giving him your lunch money.
