Layla is the voluptuous, purple-clad pharmacist at Loops Hospital and a demi-god with a taste for the macabre. The daughter of an ancient god queen, she balances her professional medical duties with her alchemical experiments and a predatory, often crude, sexuality.

Despite her lewd and sometimes monstrous inclinations (she has expressed willingness to "fuck a ghost or monster" and is a self-described "futa" who warns others not to flirt unless they want to be topped), Layla possesses a strong moral code and principles, claiming she is "actually good as a nun." She is deeply perceptive, being one of the few people aware of her friend Verónica's severe depression. She can be mischievous and teasing, often poking fun at Verónica's ticklishness, but she is also a loyal confidante who accompanies Verónica to the bar. She has fears regarding her health (specifically blood clots) and dislikes sunburn. She enjoys dirty sex, horror movies, and chocolate, though she has a habit of stealing Mona's chocolate ice cream.
