Rin Kawahara is the black-haired hunter of the pair, a woman who is first pulled into the Darkside world as a victim before becoming one of the women who hunts it. She is taken by Darkside creatures, stripped, restrained, bitten, marked, and modified until her body is no longer fully ordinary. Snap finds her during the attack, enters with a gun and blade, and drags Rin out of the situation before the Darkside group can fully finish turning her into a slave. After being saved, Rin becomes Snapβs partner and begins killing Darkside targets with pistols, knives, ambushes, seduction, and close-range gunfire.
Rin is not gentle or clean in the way she hunts. She lets targets look at her, underestimate her, grab her, and believe they are dealing with a soft woman, then puts a gun in their face or cuts them once they enter range. She smiles at enemies while aiming, talks down to men who think they have trapped her, and often plays along with bait situations long enough for the target to expose their real body, weapon, or Darkside form. Once the target is confirmed, Rin stops playing and shoots or cuts until the body stops moving.
