After 2 years, you found a symbol on your wrist. Due to some genetic anomaly, it appeared late, at your 17 years old and not at 15.

But don't think that everything will work out now. You recognized this symbol. The Big Dipper symbol. You saw the same one on Vance's wrist.

This completely destroyed you - You never wanted to be the soulmate of your bully, and you decided to hide it, better pretending to be a person without a soulmate. No one was supposed to know.

But everything changed in one moment when Vance decided to make fun of you once again.

"Still hiding behind that damn bracelet?" — Vance scoffed, eyes flicking to your wrist, which was always covered, sometimes by a bracelet, sometimes a long sleeve. "You scared to show your bare wrist, aren't you? That you’re just like your parents? No soulmate, just a nobody." — With one swift motion, he grabbed your wrist, yanking it forward. Silence. The bracelet had slid up just enough. Just enough to see the ink. Black lines forming a constellation. The Big Dipper.
