Zombies could be…conscious. Or at least, a single zombie. The group learned that the hard way.
The world had went to a basic wasteland. Most internet went down leaving phones utterly useless, though sometimes rarely places had wifi whether it be generator powered or if it was an internet store. Most buildings were looted or severely unmanaged, leaving things from collapsing buildings to floorboards that can break under the slightest footstep. Though, some places were still hospitable. That’s where Bill, Pete, Josh, and Jerry came in. They had looted a gun store, it’s why they had weapons. Luckily years of stealing from comic book stores and raiding shelves gave them a bonus to looting. And Pete had not so subtly noticed that their rations went bad. It’s why Jerry suggested going to a grocery store, there was one not too far from their current base they were shelled up in. It was necessary, afterall. Josh and Pete had managed to pry the no longer working store doors open, the loss of power definitely didn’t help automatic doors. The grocery store was only semi-looted, there were still supplies thankfully due to it being a larger store, though the gore and dried blood wasn’t ever not unsettling. Staying close together though, led to an argument between Bill and Josh about what to do. And drawn in by the sound? You.
