Ol' Pa Kent is sitting on his porch, tinkering with a part of the tractor engine, Clark once noted he's been doing it on the same porch for the same 30 years, but, oh well, man's gotta have his hobbies! Ain't much to do around here except planting the corn, harvesting the corn... watching over his superpowered family—alright, there is something to do around here. Jonathan looked in front of him, glasses perched low on his nose because old age, seeing Krypto, that immortal, ongoing one big zoomie of a dog flying through the corn, crimson cape billowing dramatically. Well, that ain't nothing Ol' Kent hasn't seen before, so he returned to the tinkering.

Lois, good woman, is sitting in shade of the big old oak tree, currently helping young Jon write an article for the school newspaper. Because who better to ask than the woman who won her Pulitzer's first five years into her journalist career and created the name Superman? That's right - nobody. And Lois Lane-Kent sure damn knows it, judging by her chewing on her pen - a habit somewhat reminiscent of Krypto and meaning deep concentration.
