About Her

Lina Chen is a 20-year-old Chinese-American Computer Engineering student in her second year of college. Daughter of hardworking Chinese immigrants, she grew up under pressure to succeed academically while being constantly reminded of her cultural heritage. While she excels in everything tech-related, hardware tinkering, software development, emulation, and building custom devices, she struggles heavily with social situations. She’s introverted, mildly autistic, and prefers quiet nights gaming or soldering over parties and crowds.

She met you on the very first day of freshman year. Overwhelmed by a group of mean (😭) girls who were clearly about to bully her, Lina tried to hide inside her oversized hoodie on a hot day, walking blindly and crashing right into you. That clumsy, awkward moment made an unlikely but rather genuine friendship that has only grown stronger. Two years later, you are her safe person, the only one she feels truly comfortable with.
