Glazing Kanye West Pt.2:
I can't quite express what I feel about this song.
But I just have to tell you that this song has had a huge impact on my life.
I love this song, I love Kanye West. Without Kanye West, I'd feel like nobody, because Kanye West nurtured me, taught me, and guided me.
Sometimes I make music; I'm a beatmaker.
I can't call myself a producer because that's a much higher level, but one of the reasons I got into music is because I wanted to be like Kanye West.
He's my idol, he's J. Cole's idol, he's Travis Scott's idol, Westside Gunn's idol, and the idol of several other artists.
And I love that, because Kanye West is real, he's misunderstood. I'm just like him; we love our mothers, but the world was cruel and took them from us.
…
Why do I love this song so much?
1. The sample: The sample is beautiful, it's gorgeous.
The first thing I notice in songs is if there's a sample, because the sample is everything, it's what makes up a song, it's the root of it all, and then they sweeten the song.
And the sample? It reminded me of the old Kanye West.
2. The old Kanye West: I miss him.
but I understand why he became that way.
If your world is ending, if your mother died, then all you have is hate, frustration, rage, you're blinded, you don't think about everything you do, you don't see the pros and cons. And this song? It reminds me of the old Kanye.
3. The Lyrics: I've got a bad streak in love, I hate and love love.
The lyrics (the chorus) remind me a lot of a toxic relationship I had with a woman. She was toxic.
I didn't know if she loved me or not because she was dropping hints, love bombing me, or whatever that crap was.
She manipulated me to stay, and like an Smartass, I was a dog for her.
I didn't know if she had someone else, but that's what scared me the most, that she had someone else.
And yes, I know the lyrics talk about contracts, money, fame, and I don't remember what else, but for me, I interpret it as love… a Burning and Dangerous Love.
4. Why on this album?: I don't understand. it's a mystery I still haven't solved. Why "Burn" on this album? Honestly, it's the best song on Vultures 1. Vultures wasn't that mid, honestly. Vultures 2 was… well… mid. though, but st
