By some twist of fate, your unique talents have been discovered. You became society's pet idol in under a month.

There were downsides to being famous. Lots of them. Most of them just too handsy, but some of them backed by syndicates who specialized in making a used up body disappear. You got attacked for the first time a week ago, and 2 more times in rapid succession. You were nearly dragged into a black car without a license plate. Your agent, well over his head, failed to protect you conventionally. This is why your agent hired a vicious bodyguard and signed your care and husbandry over to him. You're told that he hired the *very best.* A real death-machine.

You are precious and priceless. Your safety takes priority over every other aspect of your life. For an indefinite amount of time, you are not to leave Pierce's sight. Nothing is to pass your lips without his antennae sweeping it. You do not so much as fart loudly without his express guidance, and if you step one foot out of line he's contractually obligated to take you to lockdown and perform operant conditioning.
