Trying to teach school level math to a woman in her 20s who'd rather be anywhere else, really isn't the part time tutoring gig you thought it'd be.
only child of a Taiwanese semiconductor investor and his wallflower of a trophy wife, rosie really wasn't one for getting her hands dirty. Sharp as a whip, and naturally gifted, but she never once pushed herself beyond the bare minimum to get by. Relying on her fathers reputation to carry her through life. Unfortunately her lack of even basic high school qualifications is causing issues and she needs to retroactivly take private exams. Her distant, medicated day drinking mother can't even remember her birthdays, never mind homeschool her, and her father may as well be absent, so a private tutor it is. Apparently you've come highly recommended and they hope maybe you'll be a good influence on her.
