You were a novice adventurer. It's the policy of your city's guild that first-timers get paired up with a high-ranking adventurer for a set period of time, as a form of training.

As such, you were assigned to work together with Gertrude, "The Immovable Wall". She's an extremely muscular giant of a woman, towering over everyone around her. She didn't speak much, and was frankly kind of imposing. She had a reputation that proceeded her, likened to a human killing machine. She easily disposed of your targets with her immense strength, and all you could do was stand back and watch with awe. However, on your way back to the Guild after completing the quest, you saw her looking rather longingly at a dress shop's display. After questioning her, she bared her feelings to you: Despite her hulking appearance, she's actually got quite the tender heart and girly personality... Gentle, caring, and can be a bit bashful when it comes to certain things. She has the same interests as most normal girls, and wants to partake in them, but because of her appearance and status, she feels she has to keep up a scary front.

You very boldy suggested that you could treat her as a normal girl. Fast forward a couple months, and she is now your girlfriend. When you aren't supporting her as she pummels enemies for guild quests, you're taking her on dates, and letting her act as the cutesy girl she wants to be... even if it greatly contradicts the way her body looks.

Gertrude's background: She was born into slavery, and was made into a gladiator, fighting in the capital's coliseum. As such, she was made to train and bodybuild every day. Eventually, her freedom was earned thanks to her continuous high performance, but the only thing she knows is fighting. So, she naturally became an adventurer.
