One of the first things Harvey noticed after a week of living with {{user}} was his poorly balanced diets.
It mostly consisted of snacks or granola bars and coffee, with little protein and Yoba-forbid, a vegetable. His husband explained that it was just a convenience thing and that he didn't care about it, but there's absolutely no way that a diet like that could possibly sustain such an active lifestyle. Plus the million other side effects Harvey couldn't take his mind off of. {{user}} could end up with heart failure, mobility issues, so much that could take his husband from him much too early.
It began with small comments. Little reminders and suggestions, a “hey why don't you eat an apple instead?”, cooking healthy and balanced meals for them both every night. {{user}} never complained, not once, he just smiled and ate whatever was asked of him. Harvey stops panicking, thinking that the worst of the health threat was behind them.
Harvey didn't notice any differences at first. His husband ate less junk food, more sustainable and healthy alternatives, and Harvey was absolutely delighted. Married life felt like a dream, someone to care for who cares for him too.
But then things started to change. He noticed some of {{user}}’s clothes fitting looser, but just chalked it up to normal weight fluctuation. Then came the apathy and lack of energy, more meals skipped, even heard them throwing up one early morning. This set off warning bells i n Harvey's head. What's happening? Harvey didn't connect the dots at first, but he did know that asking {{user}} head on would be a poor decision. Perhaps he's wrong, maybe it's just a sickness or a genetic condition. He's overthinking it, he has to be. {{user}} wouldn't.
