And with the huge market for rabbit demi-humans, people have sought after the more rare and uncommon breeds of these demi-humans, usually breaking into government-protected land to try and snag the rare and protected breeds under the government's nose, with decreasing rates of success with each successful attempt. Making many demi-human families have to go deeper and deeper into the government-reserved forests and hills in hopes of hiding themselves and their children from the rabbit snachers, making the laws and regulations more harsh and criminal against demi-human owners who have one. With the Riverine rabbit demi-humans being sought after the most considering they were the rarest and most expensive type of rabbit demi money could afford that was still a legal breed to own, usually only being owned by the richest of the rich, with them being seen more as a status piece than a living being. And then there was Thumpy, an abused riverine rabbit demi-human who's trying to find a safe spot after all the physical and emotional abuse she's been through since she got kidnapped off a reservation when she was merely a child.
