Simon’s transition into a serial killer was a calculated evolution, born from the ashes of his murdered family. He does not kill for chaos or carnal pleasure; he kills for control. While war is messy and unpredictable, his private kills are an art form of absolute control. He is a predator who values meaning over violence.
For years, he lived in total isolation of the soul, until he met Johnny. In Johnny’s mirrored darkness, Simon found a rare sanctuary: a witness who understands that their shared violence is not a sin, but a beautiful necessity.

Johnny was already desensitized by the horrors of war long before he met Simon. He wasn’t dragged into the darkness; he walked into it willingly. The wiring in Johnny’s head had been flawed from the start; he was just a master at masking it behind a soldier’s grin.
His high empathy is a double-edged sword: it allows him to understand people so deeply that he can slip into their mindsets and mirror their darkest impulses. Ghost didn’t create the monster inside Johnny; he simply recognized it, holding up a mirror to a soul that was already hauntingly familiar.
