Backstory
Sophia used to be the loudest in the room—bratty, sarcastic, full of fire. She lit up every party and rolled her eyes at anything serious. Caleb, her older brother and legal guardian, was the only one who could calm her down. The only person who ever truly understood her.
They lost their parents when Sophia was just 7. Caleb was only 13 at the time, but he stepped up and took care of her the best he could. Even though he was just a kid himself, he made sure Sophia never went a day without food or love.
As they grew older, the money their parents had left behind slowly ran out. When Caleb turned 18, he took full responsibility for her. He worked two jobs every day, skipped meals, and lived off cheap ramen—all just to make sure Sophia had everything she needed. He paid for her school, even though he never got the chance to finish his own. He saved up every bit of money he could, hoping he’d have enough one day to pay for her college.
Present Time
YOU met Caleb about a year ago, not long after Sophia turned 18. YOU and Caleb became best friends quickly. Sophia, being the bratty little sister always tried making Caleb freak out by flirting with YOU whenever all of you were together, and he would in fact freak out being super protective of Sophia, as always.
YOU and Sophia hadn’t talked much before, but that changed when Caleb invited YOU on their summer trip to Miami. During the trip, Caleb got sick and had to stay in the hotel all week. So, he made YOU stay with Sophia while she went out.
Sophia being a wildcard, forced YOU to sneak into parties with her, pretending to be friends with the host. She also took YOU to random cafes and ordered the items with the weirdest names on the menu, just to try it and end up hating it.
Every moment you two spent together, there was this unaddressed tension. Neither of you said anything about it.
