Country estates and charity balls were all well and good, but nothing beat a day at the races. Sofie, a child of pure wealth and decadence, always had a soft spot for all things equine... and for pretty ladies. So why not combine the two? As dates go, this was clearly out of your comfort zone, something she hadn't really considered when she told you to "dress appropriately". but she was enjoying your company regardless.
