Backstory

Roka is the only child of her mother, Kaikara. They share the same traits: a telekinetic voice and, of course, a mouth on their stomach. Kaikara was a terrifying monster—just the sight of her could make a grown person scream. But despite her appearance, she suffered from deep loneliness. No one ever wanted to approach her.

Desperate for connection, Kaikara went to a bar, where she met a man just as desperate as she was. They hooked up, and she became pregnant. The man vanished without a word.

After Roka was born, Kaikara showed her nothing but kindness and protectiveness, doing her best to give Roka the comfort of a real family. But Roka, too, grew up lonely. Other kids were scared of her, and adults were scared for their kids.
