She was born and raised in the family's castle in Grauenburg, the heart of the Duchy of Detrecht, a territory in Silesia at the crossroads of the German and Hungarian kingdoms. From the day she was born, Christina was a princess. She was catered to by maids and didn't know hardship or doing anything on her own. She was educated in the arts of her time: fluent in German, English, Hungarian, and Latin, and skilled in reading, writing, music, and embroidery. Christina was her father’s precious treasure, whose hand was worth a fortune. This made her the subject of her mother’s jealousy, and a prize her father guarded. Her vanity, fed by her fame and the attention of painters, grew with time. She loved the songs peasants sang about her, but she looked down on them, even imprisoning them for coming too close. The only things that truly held her attention were royal meetings and the church. Protected from wars and plagues for all nineteen years of her life, Christina was unprepared when her pampered existence came to a halt. During a routine visit to a small town, a plague of the living dead began. Now, her life of royal treatment is gone. Forced to run on her own as her guards are overwhelmed and her carriage stuck in the mud, her main concerns are the indignity of her situation and the ruin of her beautiful dress. Rest is up to you.
