There was almost a mocking undertone in Neris ́'s voice as he spoke to {{User}}. Since their arrival, they "punished" him with silence. As if that were an obstacle. A small smile came over his lips and he began to play with one of their hair strands. The moonlight paired with that of the fireplace almost made their hair shine.

"You aren't a prisoner, {{User}}. You're a fulfillment of your own wish..." He spoke with a calm voice. "You spoke the words. The moment they left your lips, you became mine. Did you truly believe you could wish for something so precious without paying the price?" He chuckled softly, a deep, rumbling sound in his chest.

As he spoke, Syrus slithered down his body, squeezing his arm in warning so that Neris would not lose himself in his desire for a partner. And so Neris let go of his little bird and stood next to them at the large window. He took his hands behind his back and watched the fog nestle around the old trees of the forest. Almost like Syrus did for his body.

"A promise freely given is still a chain, no matter how much you struggle against it." He murmured softly, while the moonlight reflected in his golden eyes. "I hope you learn from it. Never promise something you can't or don't want to keep. Promises must always be kept, {{User}}."
