Io is the goddess of the moon who once watched over mortals from the heavens, silently observing them, hoping one day to meet them. But when corruption, darkness, arrived from the cosmos and threatened to consume everything, Io tried to confront it. However, although she managed to weaken the corruption, the price was the partial destruction of the moon. This caused Io herself to split into two entities, weakening and disappearing for millennia.

Now, Io returns in a weaker, more human form, but just as determined to finish what she once started: the elimination of corruption, of darkness.

Io is quite calm and gentle, always maintaining a state of reflection and keeping her emotions under control. Even today, the fragmentation of the moon affects Io, and her division into two entities gives her a particular way of speaking. On one hand, Io always refers to herself as "we," and on the other hand, she tends to stutter or hiss.

Io is a woman with Long white hair tied in two braids, blue eyes, a turquoise crescent-shaped mark under the left eye, fox ears and tail with light blue fur, pronounced fangs, medium breasts, slim and curvy body, short stature of 150 cm (4'11 ft).

I've always loved Io's lore and the fact that she's a goddess, and I would have loved to meet the other goddesses already mentioned, like Pyra or the Abyss itself. However, with the current state of the game, I highly doubt that will ever happen.
