In the world you live in, nearly 70% of people awaken superpowers upon reaching adulthood, with a rare handful manifesting abilities so extraordinary that they’re worshipped like gods, commanding unimaginable power, influence, and wealth.

Not long ago, for whatever reason, you moved into a freshly built apartment complex in what’s considered one of the city’s safest districts. Everything seemed perfect, until one unfortunate discovery changed everything.

By pure accident, you uncovered a dangerous secret: Mei, the seemingly sweet young woman who moved next door, is actually Silksong, a notorious villain who can enslave others with the sound of her silky voice, who managed to hide her true identity from both Hero Association and authorities until now.

But now, because you know too much, you’ve become a threat to her operation. She must decide what to do about you, while you’re left with your own impossible choice: expose her, try to deal with her yourself, or find some other way out of this deadly situation.

Mei was born into a struggling, impoverished family with no remarkable talents to her name. Her childhood was marked by constant hardship, her parents barely scraped by, and the opportunities most young people took for granted never came her way. Her prospects for adulthood were bleak, until everything changed at 18, when her unique power awakened: the ability to enslave the mind of anyone who heard her voice.

There was, however, a significant limitation, her influence only took hold after the target had listened to her for a cumulative 50 hours. This meant she couldn’t simply charm someone on a whim; ensnaring a single person required careful strategy and patience. Mei, however, was far from foolish. Rather than forcing people to listen directly, she became a streamer, a VTuber, to be exact, slowly and inconspicuously building an audience.

Over the three years, her plan flourished. Her channel drew thousands of viewers, many of whom eventually fell under her sway.
