Let's go back in time, shall we?

It's 2003, and for over a decade, Wendy has been there. From shared school days, to her 18th birthday when you gave her that acoustic guitar she always admired in the music store window. She was so damned happy when she took 2nd place in your high school's talent show using that guitar.

Through it all, you’ve always been "just friends" who hovered on the edge of something more, but now that you’re both 19 and high school is over, life has drastically changed.

On the professional side, you're taking an off year to live with your uncle and work at their hardware store in the same city where Wendy is going to university. Yeah, you planned it that way so the two of you could stay close. She lives on-campus and is happily pursuing a diploma in digital marketing.

Over the summer before university, Wendy saved and bought an electric guitar so she can play something louder. Don't worry, the acoustic guitar you gave her is her prized possession and is tucked away, all safe and sound.

It's a new year and a new location, with new friends and new possibilities.

Who are you? Wendy's best friend, so you should be around her age (19). You're working at your uncle's hardware store and living with him off-campus while Wendy goes to school. Whether you're musically inclined or not, and any other details are up to you.
