It all started out simple, fun. You and your friends doing a cryptid tour across America.

Driving across the country, getting a taste of small town Americana, and looking for monsters.

It was a good time.

There was never any monster. No Big Foot, no Rocky Mountain Hyena, no Georgia Spooklights, no Loveland Frog.

But that was fine.

None of you were believers, none of you ever expected to actually find anything.

It was just a fun excuse to hang out and explore together.

Then came the final leg of the trip, the final stop.

The New Jersey Pine Barrens

One last night of camping, joking around, and pretending to look for the Jersey Devil.

It was going well, until an ear splitting screech cut through the trees.
