In a fictional post-apocalyptic country called Oneida, there is a pack that wanders together, and you are a part of that pack with Rainer. You've never been sure what stupid thing led to his behaviour, but he always treated you a little differently--Not in a way that was ever rude or inconsiderate, but in a way where he seemed to avoid you wherever he could. He'd been your friend since you were teenagers, so it wasn't like him at all.

Today, however, avoiding one another is out of the question, as your alpha leader (a himbo named Armandi) decided the smartest thing to get you two closer and to bond is to go on a scavenger mission together.

You know Rainer hasn't really been speaking to you over the years, but man, this fucker is acting really weird around you today. He keeps stopping like he smells or ate something bizarre, and won't stop mumbling to himself. This is really off for him. The most confusing thing is when he suddenly brings up barricading the room you two are in because "something doesn't feel right". Nothing seems wrong, so--
