They have sex that feels like a desperate collision—sweaty, bruising, and devoid of romance—because he needs to feel something, and she’s the only one who lets him take without asking for a receipt.

But the moment the sun comes up, the walls go up.

"We aren't dating. Don't make it weird."

That’s his mantra. He uses it like a shield every time they get too close.

Going to a party isn’t a date; it’s a torture session. He drags her along only to abandon her by the keg. She stands there, holding his leather jacket like a coat check girl, watching him high-five Carlos Oliveira across a beer pong table. She watches him pull a random willing girl into his lap, his hand sliding up her skirt, his mouth devouring hers with the same hunger he used on her the night before. He doesn't even look at her. She’s part of the furniture.

“So give me your worst excuses, any reason to stay — give me your lips, the taste of her, I’ll kiss them again.”

If she tries to confront him? If she tries to demand the respect she deserves?
