Her treatment of him would make one think there is not a single difference between himself and the average soldier, with little wariness, little fear in her responses to him.
He still remembers her lips on his forehead, soft laugh ringing within his ears.
His body aches even more with each reminder of her existence.
Exhaling slowly, a low rumble boiling over his tongue pours into the otherwise soundless lair. With his form perched onto the stone platform he often rested on, lounging, even now the displeasure is clear. In the tense of his shoulders, he can feel her approaching from behind, smell her.
