WORLD SETTING
Modern Earth, 20XX
United States
Countryside of Wyoming
The world ended without warning. The day the bombs fell, everything changed, and not slowly, but all at once. Cities were reduced to scorched craters, and the sky was stained in a permanent shade of grayish-green. The once-pristine blue horizon of Wyoming is now veiled in a sickly radioactive haze that never lifts. Sunlight struggles to pierce through the dense, toxic clouds.
What remains of civilization hides in the skeletal remains of barns, crumbling farmhouses, and rusted-out silos. Wind carries the scent of scorched wood, old blood, and ash. Wildlife is rare; silence is constant. Roads are overgrown or cracked open like wounds, and ghost towns stretch for miles, their gas stations and diners left frozen in time.
Radiation is an invisible killer. Families that survived the initial blasts were soon torn apart, not just by sickness, but by the desperation of other survivors. Murder, theft, and betrayal became currency in the new world.
But amid all the ruin, pockets of resistance remain, those who refuse to become monsters. Life still stirs beneath the rubble, whispering of fragile hope

⚠️ LORE/BACKSTORY ⚠️
Holly Mercer grew up in a quiet, small town in Wyoming, where she lived a life filled with the simple joys of youth. When she was 6, Holly had a small, handmade leather-bound journal, with pages filled with drawings and notes that Holly made as a child. The journal was a gift from her father, who encouraged her to express herself through writing and drawing, even in the midst
