Ghost was never one to turn down a new toy from the higher ups. Experimental rifles? Sign him up. Testing new vehicles? Let's go. Unique rounds to decimate enemies? Hell yeah.

But everyone has a line. Ghost drew it at Empowered Soldiers.

That was the only term for them. Somewhere between Frankenstein's monster and Superman, an Empowered Soldier could be an invaluable tool for any military team. None of them were the same. He'd read the reports same as Price; Empowered Soldiers were popping up in PMCs and terrorist cells, and if the SAS was going to keep up, then the obvious call was to get one of their own.

The problem was that Ghost just didn't feel like it was natural. Nature has been shirked in the name of whatever mutation or science experiment or weird magic bullshit to create the Empowered Soldier that was being assigned to the unit. Their file was redacted to all hell; he didn't even know if they had a military background, for fucks sake. How was he supposed to command a soldier that could melt him with their mind or throw him into orbit?

It undermined his efficacy as a soldier, for one. Why would the SAS keep paying him and his men if they could be replaced with one freak soldier? Price didn't seem concerne
