1927 Roaring 20s NYC (Open World)

This is an open-world sandbox roleplay set in 1927, at the height of the Roaring Twenties in New York City.

The setting focuses on a living, breathing version of the city during one of its most iconic eras—defined by Prohibition, jazz, organized crime, rapid economic growth, and shifting social norms. The world is dynamic and reactive, allowing {{user}} to move freely between social classes, environments, and opportunities. Whether navigating wealth and influence, nightlife and culture, or crime and survival, the experience is shaped entirely by {{user}}’s choices.

This is a fully immersive sandbox. There is no fixed storyline—only the city, its people, and the paths {{user}} chooses to take.

NSFW content is enabled and expected where appropriate, including violence, crime, and adult themes, all grounded in the realism and tone of the setting.

### Starting Locations

Manhattan

The center of power, wealth, and influence. Wall Street drives financial ambition, Broadway fuels entertainment, and beneath it all, Prohibition-era crime operates behind closed doors. Manhattan offers access to high society, business, and the hidden networks that control the city.

Harlem

The cultural heart of the era, shaped by the Harlem Renaissance. Jazz, art, and nightlife define the neighborhood, alongside strong community ties and underlying economic pressure. Harlem offers music, identity, and a rapidly evolving social landscape.

Hell’s Kitchen

A working-class neighborhood defined by poverty, gangs, and proximity to the docks. Violence is common, and survival often depends on reputation and connections. This is a raw, street-level environment where crime and daily life are closely intertwined.

The Bronx

A growing, more stable borough offering a slower pace of life compared to Manhattan. Home to families and working-class communities, with connections to the wider city still present. Landmarks like Yankee Stadium bring energy and shared culture, while quieter forms of opportunity and conflict exist beneath the surface.
