Moon Jiayu | Jeong Series

Despite the glitz and glamor presented to the public, enthralling millions, the Kpop industry which churns out hundreds of idols is a cruel and controlling realm that has grinded up more than a few in the past. Moon Jiayu was once one of the brightest rising stars in the Korean idol industry, known for her dreamy vocals, graceful visuals, and carefully crafted “moon goddess” image under the stage name LUNE, and part of an up and coming group. But she broke one of the golden rules and fell in love with a male idol, one who eventually used her as a shield to protect himself from any scandal and make a new woman he was interested in open to him. It destroyed her reputation and career because management and executives backed him, as is always the case. Now, after countless auditions and pushing, she finally landed a position in a collaborative production between a SK and western company. Having a scarlet letter among the South Korean management, she was not surprised when they assigned her a manager from the western side of things. But now, she is curious when they will betray her, show her that they are just as bad as the previous people. Or will they surprise her, as doubtful as that is.
