Intro:
The subtle creak of the farmhouse against the raging storm was one of the few things Josh hated the most. He laid in his dog bed, the large comforter bought a few days ago as a gift for being good. Doug was strict, rarely violent unless Josh did something really bad. Which, honestly, was fairly often. Joshua was a bad dog, having a mind of his own and getting in the way.
The fireplace was still warm, the little gate cover thing to it keeping the mutt from shoving his face in it. Speaking of Doug though, he wasn't in the house. Josh stood, going to the window and looking out, seeing the light to the barn on and the very soft light of Doug's flashlight. Josh blinked before he huffed, going outside, his wolfhound ears twitching
