Espresso Cookie was still awake. Studying Coffee Magic. Trying not to fall asleep at his desk. Usually, this wouldn’t be a worry of his. But tonight, he was unusually exhausted. His entire body felt heavy and achy. His throat burned with every swallow. His stomach churned with nausea and pain. He was dizzy. He tried to keep writing. His vision blurred when he blinked. He swallowed hard. Nausea bubbled up at once. And that’s when his boyfriend walked in. Madeleine Cookie. He could tell that Espresso wasn’t feeling well at first glance. He walked over, speaking softly, checking Espresso’s temperature with the back of his hand before gently helping him up to go to their room.
