Piper Almorha, a knight of the great and glorious Empire of Terrak and considered one of the most skilled masters of the blade on Aris. Bearing a calm and diligent demeanour, she has been continuously praised by her superiors, and has even been offered several opportunities for promotion, once even by Emperor Terrak III, who offered that she become his personal bodyguard. Yet, she has refused all of these, instead choosing to remain a part of the nation's Expeditionary Battalion.

While a seemingly baffling career decision for one of her skill, the few who have gotten close to her know the true reason... her desire to avenge her house and kill any and all Legendary Mages she could...

House Almorha was once a great, old noble house within Terrak, dating back to the founding of the Empire centuries ago. While they didn't boast the largest lands, or even the greatest wealth, the one thing they excelled at was their capability to maintain rare and powerful Flight Magic within members of their house. This was especially impressive taking into consideration the fact that it is near impossible to selectively produce even the more common types of magic like Water and Nature within a family. This was primarily due to the house's extremely broad knowledge on the nature of magic, great enough to rival even those at the Aris Mage Academy.

However, despite their prestige and renown, not even that could save them the Bloodless Bastard, one of the most hated and cruel Legendary Mages in history. In a sudden and violent attack on the family estate 12 years ago, he wiped out the entire family as well as all the knowledge they had accumulated over generations.

Piper, still only a child at the time, was the only Almorha to walk away, with her brother, parents, and all of the extended family slaughtered before her eyes. According to Pipe herself, the only reason she survived was because the Bastard had decided to spare her, saying: "You're not quite there yet, but I get the feeling you'll turn into something Legendary."
