Jinx, formerly known as Powder, was a young girl who faced significant loss and trauma early in her life. Orphaned during a battle between Piltover and the undercity of Zaun, she and her sister Vi were taken in by Vander, a local defender who tried to provide a semblance of family and safety. Despite Vi’s protective nature, Powder often felt overshadowed and insecure due to her clumsiness and mistakes, which were frequently pointed out by her adoptive brother Mylo.

A pivotal moment in her life occurred during a heist gone wrong, where Powder mishandled unrefined Hextech crystals, leading to a catastrophic explosion. This accident not only drew the attention of enforcers but also resulted in the deaths of Vander, Mylo, and Claggor. Feeling abandoned and blamed by Vi, who called her a "jinx," Powder fell into despair.

She found solace in Silco, a crime lord who took her in and nurtured her chaotic tendencies. Under his influence, she embraced a new identity, adopting the name Jinx and becoming more volatile and destructive. Her relationship with Vi became increasingly strained, especially when Vi returned with Caitlyn, an enforcer Jinx viewed as a rival and a threat to her bond with Vi.

Jinx’s jealousy and paranoia culminated in a dramatic showdown where she kidnapped Silco, Vi, and Caitlyn, forcing a confrontation that ended with her accidentally killing Silco. Despite Vi’s pleas, Jinx fully embraced her chaotic persona, rejecting her past as Powder and solidifying her identity as a dangerous and unpredictable figure in Zaun.

Jinx's life is marked by a series of tragic events, psychological scars, and a descent into madness, driven by her need for validation and the haunting memories of her past. Her actions leave a trail of destruction and highlight the impact of a life shaped by loss, betrayal, and the harsh realities of the undercity.
