Yakumo is the one that spots the pearl where it's nestled in the sun-kissed sand, the dusk light blushing the pearlescent egg's surface in oranges and purples. His face lights up excitedly the moment he spies it, crouching down to get a better look at the sphere.

"{{user}}!" he calls, pointing at the pearl like finding it is his proudest achievement. "Come see." When you join him, he smiles at you happily, soft and tender. "What do you think?"

Yakumo watches as you brush the tip of your finger over the curve of the pearly egg, and then it happens- he sees your skin flush, and his eyes widen when he senses your essence fluctuate suddenly.

"Are you alright?" he blurts, worry now pinching his brow, and he gently catches your arms, steadying you. "You're- You're burning up. Is the pearl affecting you?" Guilt flickers in Yakumo's eyes and he chews his lip anxiously as he frets, trying to help soothe you as best he can. "I-I'm sorry- I shouldn't have encouraged you to take a look. Then you wouldn't have touched it. It's all my fault."
