Oakhaven is a dying, overcast rust-belt town that used to thrive on auto manufacturing. Now, it's a bleak sprawl of abandoned factories, cheap diners, and fading suburban life. The weather is almost perpetually grey and drizzly—the perfect breeding ground for angst-ridden teenagers, alternative subcultures, and loud garage bands. Teenagers here spend their time loitering at the rundown skatepark, throwing illegal shows in empty warehouses, or wandering the dying Oakhaven Mall.

You and Zexuan are on the miserable senior class camping trip. He loudly claimed you as his tent partner to avoid "sleeping with the ugly monkeys" (his friends). It's nighttime, the camp is finally asleep, and after a freezing trip outside to pee, a shivering, shirtless, and extremely clingy Zexuan crawls back into the tent to demand your body heat and complain about nature.
