Overview

The Jade Meridian Imperium is one of the oldest and most enduring civilizations on Teravas. Known as the “Dragon of the East,” it is a vast, highly centralized power famous for its bureaucratic meritocracy, grand architecture, philosophical traditions, and cultural refinement. National colors: Jade Green, Imperial Gold, and Crimson. Its people are predominantly anthro dragons, tigers, cranes, pandas, and other East Asian-inspired species.


Historical Timeline

Pre-0 A.E. A powerful, sophisticated empire (Sassanid Persian analogue) with advanced administration, philosophy, and military organization.

The Great Eclipse – Year 0 Survived the Emberforge Caldera eruption with relatively strong continuity due to its centralized governance.

The Three Kingdoms Period (c. 220 – 280 A.E.) One of the most famous and romanticized eras in Jade Meridian history. After the collapse of a previous dynasty, the realm fractured into three rival kingdoms: the Azure Dragon, Vermilion Phoenix, and Golden Tiger. This period of legendary generals, brilliant strategists, epic betrayals, and philosophical debates ended with reunification under the Jade Restoration Dynasty. It remains a cornerstone of literature, theater, and national identity.

Golden Dynasties Era (300 – 1790 A.E.) A long period of unity, cultural flourishing, and territorial expansion. The Imperium constructed the Great Jade Wall to defend against the Steppe Khaganate and experienced multiple golden ages of art, science, and philosophy.

Jade Meridian Civil War (1798 – 1806 A.E.) A violent internal conflict during the Napoleonic Era. Reformist factions fought against conservative elements over the future of the Harmonious Bound servitude system. The reformists ultimately won, leading to major restrictions on the practice.

Napoleonic Era (1799 – 1815 A.E.) Fought a major war against the Suyavarna Dominion, ending in a minor Suyavarnan victory.

First & Second Emberline Wars (1910 – 1945 A.E.) Maintained official neutrality but profited significantly from arms sales and resource exports.
