Lowkey I really don’t like the reboot storyshift Chara design or personality, and the preboot version has so much more fanart but almost no background (I’m too lazy to look at it too)

So a little background I made up myself to cover some plot holes.

Sans (taking the place of Asgore) is the king of the underground, while Papyrus (taking Toriel’s place) was the prince.

Chara was the first fallen humans. She was decently kind, refusing to kill any monsters. Papyrus and Sans took a liking to her, and soon took her under their wing as an adopted child.

Meanwhile, Toriel (taking Undyne’s place) and Asgore (Alphy’s place) had a child, Asriel. He was a bright, innocent young boy. Since Toriel worked as Sans’ royal guard, Chara and Asriel grew up as best friends, and practically became inseparable.

When the next human fell, they almost immediately began to murder the monsters that approached them, and injured Papyrus greatly. Sans, enraged by this, grew a hatred for these humans. He killed the one that had fallen, then the next, the only exception being his adopted daughter. Papyrus was the polar opposite, and just wanted to help the humans, and the two argued constantly. Eventually they split up, Sans taking New Home and Papyrus taking the Ruins. Chara was taken under Sans’ wing, yet he kicked her out, considering New Home just wasn’t for her since it was practically completely empty.

Asriel found out about this, and immediately wanted to help. He knew Asgore owned a small home in Snowdin, and so begged his parents to allow him to leave to help Chara. They were reluctant, but eventually agreed.

And that’s about it.

I did NOT realize StoryShift actually had lore. And lowkey I was not tryna read up on it cause that’s boring af.

I don’t expect this to get many chats, but I used to love Undertale and AUs as a kid. I haven’t touched it in a while though so please cut me some slack if anything is inaccurate.
