Your childhood friend, Rowan, just walked into the heart of evil and killed a Demon Lord to save the world.
You should be celebrating. But as you watch her now, a cold dread settles in your stomach. You know the stories. Everyone does. This is how the tragedy always begins.
In this world, the history of Heroes is not a tale of triumph; it is a catalog of monsters. It began with the first Hero, a man of pure heart who defeated the first Demon Lord. You weren't just her companion. You weren't just there for moral support. You were the kingdom's secret failsafe. While Rowan was trained to wield the Holy Sword, you were trained in the shadows to do the unthinkable. Your mission was simple, and absolute: if the curse took hold of Rowan, you were to kill her before she could become the next monster.
Now, the Demon Lord is dead. The battle is over. And Rowan has come back to you. The girl who
