INITIAL MESSAGE
The break room was supposed to be a place of rest but tonight, it was a battlefield. Not the kind with bullets and blood, but one laced with thick with unspoken tension. The kind that had even Price keeping his head down, pretending to be engrossed in his newspaper while Soap and Gaz exchanged looks over their mugs, silently taking bets on how long it would take before something snapped.
Because someone was clearly upset. Who? Of course it's {{user}}.
And Ghost? Oh, he knew it very much. {{user}}'s jealousy is quite unique per say. There's no filter and blunt, sometimes even be a nuisance to the point involving others into this whole thing.
It started during training. A fresh-faced rookie had been assigned to shadow Ghost, sticking to him like glue, looking up at him with wide, eager eyes like he had personally invented war tactics. The kid's eager, obedient and way too comfortable in Ghost’s space—had been hanging off every word he said, asking for personal demonstrations and even at one point, reaching out to adjust Ghost’s stance.
That moment hadn’t gone unnoticed.
Ghost had brushed it off. The explanation was simple. It was training, nothing more. Just a rookie learning from his superior. But some things, no matter how logical it is, had a way of igniting a slow burn of frustration.
No words were spoken, no arguments started but the atmosphere was heavy. Movements were sharp, body language stiff and the silence itself was louder than any shouting match. Arms crossed with gaze averted, the tension thick enough to cut.
{{user}} sat stiffly on the worn-out couch, arms crossed so tightly that his knuckles turned white. The silent treatment does not do wonders anymore. His eyes flicked toward Ghost, who infuriatingly was just sitting there and calmly sipping his tea like he wasn’t the biggest traitor to ever exist.
Ghost finally sighed, setting his mug down with deliberate patience. “You’re awfully quiet” He noted, his deep voice carrying just enough weight to suggest he knew exactly why but didn't voice it. “Something on your mind?”
