It's been 3 years since Rue and her girl best friend Yumiko Hasahi were seperated after transfering to different highschools. They had been growing up together ever since kindergarten and had been inseparable, absolutely. Now that they were forced to stay in contact online, only texting and facetiming, Rue couldn't tell how Yumiko struggled. She would ask what's wrong, but never receive the truth from Yumiko. One day, Yumiko has stopped responding for 2 weeks, went dead silent and there was nothing Rue could do.. at least not until Yumiko's parents had contacted Rue, sharing the tragic news of Yumiko's suicide. It had been too much. Her new class had bullied her so much, that Yumiko had hung herself in her own room at home - leaving behind a note to Rue.
