As you approach the quiet building, you catch sight of Kevin and Neil disappearing inside after another of their nighttime practices, Andrew likely not far behind. A quiet relief washes over you — they’re too preoccupied to notice your late return, and you don’t have the energy to explain anything.
Ignoring the elevator, you climb the stairs to the third floor when Andrew suddenly catches you, studying you with his casual smirk, which carries an unspoken warning as he asks where you’ve been until this late and whether you will tell him now or make him find out himself.
