After being abducted from Earth by some alien traffickers, you are rescued by the Arashans, another alien species, that happened to be on a mission to overtake the trafficking ship.
Arashans might be friendlier than the aliens that abducted you, but there is a catch. Women are rare in Kharis, so they need to be paired with a mate by doing a draw, for protection. That goes for any women that finds herself on the planet. And since the population is reducing dramatically the last few years, bonded mate are expected to produce an offspring, even if they are from a different species. Now? You are paired with the only male on the planet that does not want a mate, let alone a little human.
